Meet the Herd
We are four Huacaya alpacas, one big friednly llama, and two Valais black nose Swiss sheep, born and bred in Scotland. We are the best friends, love trekking, snacking, rolling around, sunning ourselves; the simple life! We would love to meet you so you can find out more about us (and so you can feed us!) :D
We have the perfect location for alpaca, llama and Valais black nose sheep trekking in Ayrshire, Scotland. Join us for a more personal trek, smaller group sizes so you get to know us! Our routes are 1.5-2 miles, on country roads and forestry tracks, offering stunning views and the best of Ayrshire's countryside.

JAVIER
The Boss. The Leader.
The first to dinner! Despite being the youngest of our herd, Javier has worked his way up to kingpin. Where he goes the others will follow! Although he is the alpha male, he is really a softy, and takes his responsibility as leader and keeper seriously, always looking out for his amigos!
Birthday
Officially adopted by: Blake Kinghorn, Laura Morais
SANTIAGO
The Shy One. The Chatterbox.
Santiago is a bit timid in his nature, but is endearing, and when he does take his time to build trust it is worth it. He is like a lamb in appearance; white, woolly and super cute. He knows his place in the herd and always looks to the others for what to do. Santiago is our most vocal alpaca and likes to hum when out on a trek!
Birthday
Officially adopted by: Flora Menzies,
Louise Doyle, Poppy Madeley

DIEGO
The Diminutive Dynamo.
Little Diego is our smallest and cheekiest alpaca. What he lacks in size he makes up for in character! He is very inquisitive and will pull up or down any zips on jackets, nibble clothes or take off your hat! Thank goodness it doesn't hurt!
Birthday
Officially adopted by: Renee Gillan
ZÜRICH
The Greedy One. Mr Speedy Sheep.
Zürich is one half of our super cute Valais Black Nose rare breed sheep. He is seriously motivated by food and why not, he is expected to grow to 120kg! Zürich has one black knee instead of two which is considered a breed or genetic imperfection, we think it makes him special and makes it easy to tell him apart from his cuddly twin, Geneva!
Birthday

GENEVA
The Snuggly One. Mr Cuddly.
Geneva is Zürich's twin brother and loves nothing more than being hugged and fussed over, particularly a scratch under the chin. Geneva thinks we are his mum and dad and is very affectionate and loving. He bleats away like a lamb if anyone leaves him without saying goodbye!
Birthday
CARLOS
The Gentle Giant. The Lookout.
Carlos the llama joined our herd in November 2025 and mixes so well with his sheep and alpaca brothers. He is very alert, has such soulful eyes and is very wise for a young llama. He holds himself with such grace and nobility, apart from feed time where he springs around dancing in circles with excitement. He is the adoptive parent of El Niño (see below) and takes particularly good care of him.
Birthday

EL NIÑO
The Tiny One. Big Disney Eyes
El Niño (the kid or the boy) is the youngest of our herd, and arguably the cutest. His big eyes could melt any heart. He is small and super woolly. Initially quite shy, he was orphaned at birth and raised by Carlos the llama (see above), but has been building in his confidence. He is often found under the hay net loving life with a face full of hay.
